Curriculum Areas Covered

Although the section which follows is based on the National Curriculum in England, it is also suitable to similar areas of the curriculum in all four United Kingdom countries. Much of the recent focus of the National Strategies is about classrooms and what goes on in them, raising the quality of teaching and learning is seen as key in raising standards. The web site provides a resource which guides the collection of data and links it to a relevant real life situation, the information gathered can then be applied to teaching in a number of subjects. By relating teaching to practical situations, motivation is improved and learning for understanding is enhanced.
